The person behind jose.dev

I'm Jose — born in Honduras, raised in Houston, and building in both of my languages ever since. I studied Computer Science at UTSA with a concentration in software engineering and graduated in May 2026 with a 3.8 GPA. Today I'm a software engineer at BNY in Lake Mary, Florida — building enterprise financial software full-time, back at the company where I interned in 2025.

The other side of my week is jose.dev, my one-person studio. A poker club that runs its whole website from a dashboard I built. A performance shop that takes bookings and sells parts through its own online store. A glass company with 25 years in Houston that finally has a web presence to match. A refrigeration company that traded its paper invoice book for an app I wrote entirely in Spanish. Real businesses, real systems, run daily by their owners.

The thread through all of it: I think owners should own their stuff. No renting a template by the month, no calling a developer to change your hours. I build it, hand over the keys, and teach you to drive — one fee, your files, your control.
